BSB61015 Advanced Diploma in Leadership and Management

 

Course Description

 

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply specialised knowledge and skills, together with experience in leadership and management, across a range of enterprise and industry contexts. Individuals at this level use initiative and judgement to plan and implement a range of leadership and management functions, with accountability for personal and team outcomes within broad parameters. They use cognitive and communication skills to identify, analyse and synthesise information from a variety of sources and transfer their knowledge to others, and creative or conceptual skills to express ideas and perspectives or respond to complex problems.

 

Pathways

 

The preferred pathway into this qualification is from the BSB51915 Diploma of Leadership and Management.  There are many pathways a graduating student could follow after achieving the BSB61015 Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management. Candidates may undertake further higher education studies or proceed with studies related to their vocation.

Graduates may find employment in leadership & management roles.  Job roles and titles will vary across different industry sectors however possible job titles relevant to this qualification include Senior Manager, Manager, Executive.

To obtain this qualification, students must complete 12 units (4 core units and 8 elective).

  • BSBMGT605 - Provide leadership across the organisation –core

  • BSBMGT617 - Develop and implement a business plan – core

  • BSBMGT616 - Develop and implement strategic plans – elective

  • BSBMKG609 - Develop a marketing plan – elective

  • BSBRSK501 - Manage risk – elective

  • BSBINM601 - Manage knowledge and information – elective

  • BSBMGT608 - Manage innovation and continuous improvement – elective

  • PSPGOV602B - Establish and maintain strategic networks – elective

  • BSBMGT615 - Contribute to organization development – elective

  • BSBDIV601 - Develop and implement diversity policy – elective

 

Intakes

 

Students can enroll up to 2-weeks before the start of an upcoming Course Term - this is to allow us sufficient time to mail or courier certain hard-copy materials to students before or very close to the start of the course.

  • Term 2 –  09/04/2018 to 15/06/2018

  • Term 3 – 02/07/2018 to 07/09/2018
